Colonial Café Announces 7th Annual $30K Match Day: Dec. 9th
Colonial Café Match Day Doubles Contributions December 9th in Support of Salvation Army in the Fox Valley Area
Giving back to the community and supporting those in need is crucial, especially during the holiday season when so many are without food and toys for their children. The Salvation Army of the Fox Valley area red kettle campaign is a reminder that the need has no season and that community support is vital to its success. In an effort to support their Christmas fundraising needs, Colonial Café is offering a match of donations up to $30,000 throughout the Fox Valley area for the seventh annual Colonial Café Match Day on Saturday December 9th.
Donations made to any and all of the Red Kettles in St. Charles, Geneva, Batavia, Aurora, Naperville, Elgin, Algonquin, Crystal Lake, and McHenry County on December 9th will be matched up to $30,000! Special kettles will be placed at Colonial Café locations in Naperville, Crystal Lake, Algonquin, Elgin, Aurora, and St. Charles (East & West). All contributions will stay local, and support the services and programs of the local Salvation Army corps. A special treat card will be given to donors at the red kettles courtesy of Colonial Café!
Colonial Café is a longtime friend and supporter of The Salvation Army. It is generational, according to Lt. Betsy Clark, corps officer for The Salvation Army St. Charles Tri-City Corps. She states, “Our partnership with Colonial Café started with Joe K. Anderson back in 1951 and it continues today through the next generations who give so generously all year round to The Salvation Army. We truly appreciate the Anderson family and their generosity.”
For more information about the Colonial Café Match Day, please contact Lt. Betsy Clark at 630-377-ARMY (2769).
Volunteers are needed to ring bells at the kettle sites throughout the Fox Valley through December 23rd, especially on Saturday, December 9th!
